I can't believe St. Patrick's Day is almost here!
(This year is flying by!)
Since my husband is Irish/Scottish,
we LOVE celebrating St. Patrick's Day in our family!
Jen and I have decided to have a big family party this year!
To get us in the mood,
we've started looking for fun crafts that we can make
either for party decorations
or to entertain all of the little munchkins on the big day!
Here's what we've come up with so far...
"A Treasure Hunt"
We'll have clues hidden that the kids will have to find.
(We'll post them for you to see after we get them made.)
The treasure will be a Pot of Treats!
"A Countdown"
We'll print off a countdown for each of the cousins
and deliver it to them before March 1st.
A piece of Rolo candy will be attached
to each of the days on the calendar.
That should get them excited for the big day!
"Leprechaun Hats"
At the party, we'll have each of the cousins make their own hat.
(Should keep them quiet for at least a few minutes!)
These are made by painting a plastic bowl green
and then adding the accessories
which will be made from Jen's good 'ol cricut!
"Lucky Bingo"
We'll print off enough of these for each cousin
(and maybe the adults too!)
A good game of Bingo makes any party more fun!
"M&M Treats"
Party favors will be M&M's in 8" x 1" bags.
I'm thinking we'll probably have to order them online....
unless anyone knows of a local store that sells them!
Well, that's our plans for the holiday!

I love St. Patrick's Day for two reasons. One I am Irish and it reminds me so much of my mother it hurts and two GREEN!!! My favorite color is GREEN!!

That's awesome, Mary! Definitely two good reasons to celebrate. Is your Mother still around?
